Service Overview
This service brief describes the supplemental tasks that can be added to an existing device deployment SKU on a time and material basis. This service provides, in 30-minute increments, best-effort installation and configuration support of the supplemental services contained in this service brief. These are best-effort estimates to complete the selected supplemental tasks within the given timeframe. This is not a fixed-price offering, and troubleshooting is not included. These services supplement an existing deployment SKU order of at least one of the following fixed-fee deployment SKUs:
- PC Deployment – PC-C-STAN-TD, PC-C-STANNS-TD, PC-C-ENH-TD, or PC-C-ENHNS-TD
- Network Deployment – NET-I-RTR-TD, NET-I-RTRNS-TD, NET-I-SWT-TD, NET-I-SWTNS-TD, NET-I-MDM-TD or NET-I-MDMNS-TD
- Server Deployment – SVR-I-STAN-TD or SVR-I-STANNS-TD

The services described in this service brief are only available in the continental United States.
Scope of Services
Client may select and add the following supplemental services to a device deployment at a Client’s site. The resulting sum of estimated time for selected services will be applied to the Client’s invoice in 30-minute increments.
PC deployment supplemental services includes:
- Onsite Data Migration – 30 minutes per 5GB increments
- Old PC to New PC, direct network or flash drive transfer
- Time is dependent on total file size
- Packaged App Installation – 30 minutes per application
- Assumes Commercial Off-the-Shelf App and includes mapping to a SharePoint drive as required
- Office 365 Installation – 60 minutes per install
- Dependent on network speed
- Additional Peripherals – 30 minutes per peripheral
- Examples – standard form factor printer, scanner, camera; excludes large multifunction devices or copiers
- Additional Peripheral Asset Tagging – 5 minutes per peripheral
- Using Client provided asset tags which would affix to the device
- Additional Monitor – 10 minutes per LCD Panel
- Includes unboxing, plug in, carton removal to onsite Client-designated location
- Assumes included stand, does not include monitor stands or wall mount
- Map Network Shares – 15 minutes per instance or network drive
- Assumes Client-provided paths and instructions
- Device Familiarization – 30 minutes per computer/user
- Basic overview of computer and connected peripherals
- Next Day Remote Support – 2 hour minimum
- Remote assistance for Insight installed Client PC and peripherals
- Available in two (2) hour increments
Network deployment supplemental services includes:
- Install optional network interface modules on a network router or switch – 30 minutes per module
- Install up to 24 patch cables into a switch per Client diagram, if supplied – 30 minutes per 24 ports
- Does not include dressing
- Assumes all patch cables are Client-provided and have been run to a point where they can be plugged into the switch.
Server deployment supplemental services includes:
- Applying configuration as per Client-provided instructions – 30 minutes per server
- Examples – initial login, set Administrative Password, map to share drive
- Additional storage installation and provisioning – 30 minutes per server
- SSD, HDD, EXT HDD
- Verify storage exists in Device Manager
- Installation of extra memory – 30 minutes for up to 4 modules
- Installation of additional expansion, network, or other cards – 30 minutes per card
- Assumes cards are compatible with system
- Troubleshooting of hardware related issues – 60 minutes
- Available in 60 minute increments
Services Approach and Methodology
Supplemental deployment services scope and activities are integrated into the four phases of the ordered deployment SKUs:
- Phase 1 – Scope Review and Scheduling
- Phase 2 – Remote Project Coordination
- Phase 3 – Deployment
- Phase 4 – Closeout
Services Execution Timeframe
Supplemental deployment services will be completed in the execution of the ordered deployment SKUs. Durations will vary based on the quantity of deployment and supplemental SKUs ordered and number of sites.
Insight-Client Relationship
The following outlines the expectations of both parties (Insight and Client) as defined by this services brief.
Insight Responsibilities
Insight is responsible for providing the following:
- Serve as the primary point of contact to Client on all supplemental services issues, needs, and concerns
- Manage Client expectations and satisfaction throughout the deployment
- Schedule and coordinate the necessary resources to support the deployment
Client Responsibilities
Client, and its employees, contractors, and agents, are responsible for Client Responsibilities defined in the ordered deployment SKUs plus the following:
General supplemental services specific Client responsibilities
- Assume all responsibility for network connectivity, performance, and configuration issues
- Ensure all data has been backed up from the legacy unit prior to scheduled appointment
- Provide all necessary drivers and cables for peripherals/units
- Provide all necessary media for installing software
PC supplemental services specific Client responsibilities
- Provide thumb drives for Insight to migrate data
- Minimum thumb drive size must be 32GB
- Insight will not migrate data twice if thumb drive capacity is too small
- Client will provide a minimum of 1 thumb drive per 3 units installed
- Thumb drives will be left onsite with Client contact
- Have data ready for migration in a single folder
Assumptions
The project-specific assumptions defined in the ordered deployment SKUs plus the following assumptions apply for this services engagement:
- All work, for standard business hours deployments (TM-SUP-STD-TD), to be performed during normal business hours Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. local time and excludes weekends or Insight-observed holidays.
- All work for non-standard business hours (TM-SUP-NSTD-TD) to be performed during hours mutually agreed upon between Client and Insight, which can include non-business hours, after hours, and weekend dates and excludes Insight observed holidays.
- Assumes Insight installed the original PC, network device, or server on the same trip
- The trip fee from the ordered deployment SKU will apply to per installation event per site
- Any out of scope work must be communicated and verified through the Insight Project Coordinator and will be subject to additional fees.
Scope Changes and Exclusions
- Client will compensate Insight for any out-of-scope work requested by Client.
- Changes to deployment SKU types and quantities will require an order modification. This may extend the duration of the engagement and/or require additional resources, resulting in additional cost to Client.
- The following are considered out-of-scope and are not part of the service offering:
- Any services not listed in this service brief
- Application Loads
- Data backup
- Migration of user profile and/or data from multiple directories/locations
- Executing any scripts, imaging a unit, application loads
- Complex application loads, i.e. ERP systems, SAP, Oracle, proprietary applications, miscellaneous databased, etc.
- Advanced troubleshooting, including but not limited to, software, internal components, peripherals, login errors, etc.
- Installation of additional peripherals, printers, scanners, or any hardware or software not defined herein
- Deploying, configuring, or troubleshooting Client’s network, including ISP connectivity
- Installation of phones, tablets, tablet phones, mobile device management suites, or Apple equipment
- Delivery, transportation, or packaging of any equipment
- Custom mounts/brackets for installation of equipment
- Provisioning of any parts or materials to complete the installation of equipment
- Training or professional development
- Electrical work of any kind
- Troubleshooting the design and current implementation of Client’s existing environment

Pricing Assumptions
The following items apply to the pricing of all SKU’d services as outlined herein:
- Pricing does not include hardware/software costs or additional expenses, if any are required.
- All prices are in U.S. dollars.
