UPS-Teamsters Strike Update: Tentative Agreement Reached
As previously communicated, Insight has been closely monitoring the potential for a strike by UPS Teamsters Union employees.
By now, you may have heard the UPS-Teamsters Labor negotiations resumed this week and led to a favorable outcome. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 the two entities announced they have reached a tentative agreement mitigating the potential UPS Teamsters Workforce Strike. This is positive news for Insight, our clients and partners, as well as the UPS employees and of course, those throughout the country that rely on the logistics and transportation industry to support needs ranging from healthcare to individual consumers, corporate, and government entities.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING POTENTIAL UPS STRIKE
Insight is closely monitoring the potential for a strike by UPS Teamsters Union employees in the coming days/weeks.
Although UPS reports it is optimistic an agreement will be reached by August 1, 2023, a strike by UPS Teamsters Union employees continues to be a potential.
In the interest of minimizing impacts should that strike occur, Insight has been staying closely aligned with UPS, with our distribution partners, and with alternate carriers to do everything within our control to be positioned to mitigate shipping delays. While there may be upstream items outside of Insight’s control with potential impact to the overall supply chain, we remain committed to reduce the impacts however we are able until the situation is resolved.
In addition to current proactive actions in play within Insight, and our partners, should we identify any significant delays in your orders as we continue to navigate this situation, we will communicate updates. We value your business and strive to consistently provide the best service available, including timely deliveries, even when outside events challenge our ability to do so.
We are monitoring the UPS and Teamsters Union situation closely and working diligently to minimize any impact to you.
