With the divestiture from its parent company, this client lacked the support it needed to address the full scope of its security needs. A lot of careful planning and coordination would be needed to ensure a smooth transition from the parent company to avoid a breach during the migration.
Starting with little documentation, and a need to spin up security domains across the enterprise, the client tapped SECaaS from Insight for global, scalable enterprise security support. This is the bedrock of ongoing support from Insight with reliable technician support growing 240% since the inception of the program.
To ensure ongoing success, our teams worked with the client from day one — incorporating the client’s unique needs into a broader strategy. The ultimate goal was to establish security policies, governance and best practices that would secure the enterprise without sacrificing UX for employees. These best practices stretched across enterprise tools from email to overall identity and access management. Insight teammates continue to support documentation and other security policy efforts for the client.
Cloud-based applications have quickly become the gold standard, but securing these environments can come with its own challenges. This client desired a solution to cloud app security that would also address its need for protected data. With tools provided by Microsoft Defender for Azure, encryption and data loss prevention best practices were deployed.
For this multinational client, it was critical to enable secure work from different devices across its global footprint. Enhanced, comprehensive security and visibility of devices was implemented to support this goal. Additionally, network and endpoint security controls were rolled out to balance performance and mitigation of risks. These solutions are scaling with the continued growth of this divested client while lowering operational burdens for its internal teammates.
