Sumner leads GitHub's partner go-to-market across AMER and APAC, working with resellers, system integrators, and hyperscaler field teams to drive Copilot adoption at scale. His focus is on what it actually takes to move AI developer tools from pilot to production, including the billing shifts, consumption models, and partnership mechanics that make enterprise rollouts stick. Before GitHub, Sumner managed accounts in Microsoft's Global Account Management and Delivery organization and led PMO and project management engagements at Smartsheet. He also founded a specialty coffee company in Honolulu, so he knows a thing or two about handling heat.
