Insight Named #9 for Best Places to Work in Raleigh by Triangle Business Journal

Insight makes top list for sixth year in a row by combining spirit of innovation with cutting-edge technology to guide clients on their digital journey

TEMPE, Ariz., August 31, 2021 — Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, ranks as the ninth best place to work among medium-sized businesses (50-99 employees) in Raleigh, North Carolina, among a class of 50 overall winners announced Friday by the Triangle Business Journal during its 2021 Best Places to Work Awards ceremony.

To assess best workplaces, the Triangle Business Journal considers companies across four categories of business size. Companies were ranked according to the results of confidential employee engagement surveys conducted by Quantum Workplace considering qualities like workplace perks and features, teamwork, employee morale, benefits and retention, trust in leadership, and philanthropy.

This is the sixth year in a row Insight’s Raleigh office of 70 teammates has ranked among the best in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Insight’s team there specializes in leveraging emerging technologies to create modern work experiences, derive deep business insights and enhance customer engagement.

“We have a technical team of more than 4,000 engineers, architects and consultants across the globe who are dedicated to helping our clients prepare and transform for a more digital future. Our North Carolina teammates exemplify how we bring that knowledge home to make a difference in our local communities,” said Joyce Mullen, Insight North America president. “It’s a team known for developing fresh ideas and new ways of working through intelligent use of data, Artificial Intelligence, application modernization and real-time insights at the edge. They make Insight a fun place to work while inspiring our clients to push the boundaries of what is possible.”

Insight is working with a well-known, North Carolina-based grocer to improve work-site and food safety by incorporating the Insight Connected Platform. The East Coast grocery chain first used Insight’s proprietary Internet of Things framework with thermal cameras for the detection of elevated temperatures of essential workers at their warehouses and distribution centers to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease. The client is now exploring the use of the same technology in its retail stores to monitor freezer temperatures in real-time to improve food safety and prevent product loss.

This fall, Insight’s Raleigh office is launching the Insight ACE Program, a development center focused on growing new technical talent for the company’s Digital Innovation team. Insight ACE aims to hire college or coding bootcamp software development graduates twice annually, entering them into a six-month training program to become a Digital Innovation consultant. The training includes industry certifications, mentorship with proven developers, and a team capstone project. Insight’s goal is to extend the development program to more of its U.S. Digital Innovation offices, including Phoenix.

The North Carolina team also extends training to its communities. This includes Scrum.org-certified Professional Scrum Trainers who provide hands-on instruction to professionals and budding software developers on the Scrum framework, Agile practices and team dynamics. All Insight teammates also are incentivized to bring forth innovative ideas that can be patented through Insight’s Invention Harvesting Program.

“Everything we do is rooted in creating a culture that celebrates the innovator. Our continued placement on the Triangle Business Journal’s best workplaces list is a testament to a diverse team that is transforming the market through new ideas spanning IoT, edge data processing, advanced analytics and application innovation,” said Holly Leyda, Insight’s senior sales manager in Raleigh.
