14 Insight Leaders Recognized on CRN’s 2020 Women of the Channel

Amy Protexter, SVP of marketing, and Alma du Preez, VP of global sales, also named as Power 40 Solution Providers

TEMPE, Ariz., May 13, 2020 – Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named 14 Insight leaders to its esteemed 2020 Women of the Channel list.

Among Insight’s Women of the Channel, two were named among the Power 40 Solution Providers, highlighting 40 female executives whose insight and influence in their respective companies drive channel success: Amy Protexter, senior vice president, marketing, and Alma du Preez, vice president, global sales.

Leading a team of more than 200, Protexter orchestrated 37% growth year-over-year of marketing-earned gross profits, with marketing touching 75% of Insight’s $7.7 billion in revenue in 2019. An exceptional omnichannel experience saw a 50% increase in web traffic to insight.com, leading to e-commerce revenues of $1.85 billion in 2019.

Du Preez developed and led the global field sales team’s go-to-market strategy, working directly with clients to understand their business challenges and help them leverage technology to grow and run smarter. She oversaw quarterly workshops and account strategy sessions aimed at solidifying mutual strategic goals in a way that is beneficial for Insight, clients and partners.

“I’m proud to work alongside such a distinguished group of women who are leading Insight across so many areas of our business. To have 14 leaders represented as 2020 Women of the Channel exemplifies just how rich in diversity our organization is, and these women inspire their teams to new ways of thinking, working together and using intelligent technology to produce better outcomes for Insight and our clients,” said Ken Lamneck, Insight president and CEO.

Recognizing the unique strengths, vision and achievements of a select group of women, the annual Women of the Channel list acknowledges channel leaders who are blazing a trail for future generations. These women are from all areas of the IT ecosystem, including technology vendors, distributors, solution providers and other IT organizations. The CRN editorial team selects the honorees to celebrate a list of exceptional women acclaimed for their contributions to channel advocacy, growth, thought leadership and dedication to the IT channel.
