Evaluating the right solution

The core of a sustainable and scalable technology refresh had to begin with the client’s data center. Insight’s Cloud + Data Center Transformation team worked alongside stakeholders at the manufacturing company to identify and prioritize critical business applications — as well as to define technical requirements that would need to be met to support the business into the future.

The joint team evaluated processors and related technology options that would best fit the client’s needs and proposed a refresh using Hewlett Packard Enterprise Gen10 servers. The servers are equipped with Intelligent System Tuning technologies that adapt to changing workload requirements, which fulfilled the company’s need for greater agility. In addition, the servers offered flexible scalability to keep up with the manufacturer’s projected growth.

After the refresh was successfully completed, the business experienced an immediate increase in performance and reliability, indicating the data center is running much more efficiently. Communication and workload management between compute systems and the storage area network also improved greatly.
