The business provides customized debit card systems with state-of-the-art software for a wide variety of gaming, amusement, gift and hospitality customers. A need for expanded capabilities

The technology provider’s previous vendor shipped Point-of-Sale (POS) systems from China to Washington state, and then on to the company’s Midwestern headquarters. This process took one to two weeks and inevitably caused numerous shipping delays to customers.
Dissatisfied with its previous vendor’s performance, the company needed a different approach and invited a proposal from Insight. Our account representative visited the client’s headquarters. He and our Supply Chain Optimization team suggested a simplified process that would reduce POS systems delivery time.
Faster response time
To provide the best solution, we consulted one of our more than 3,500 technology partners, POS-X, which manufactures and distributes the EVO TP4 POS Terminal. This all-in-one unit offers numerous peripherals and can easily be mounted to a wall.
The EVO TP4 would give the client’s customers flexibility to use the system in the way that made the most sense for their business.
Additionally, we recommended our Client-Owned Inventory (COI) program, through which we store inventory for free in our Chicago warehouse. This allows clients to stock their hardware in our facility and sell or ship directly from that supply.
The COI program has optimized the client’s supply chain and shortened delivery time from up to two weeks to one day.
Working with POS-X provided a much quicker turnaround and better pricing for the client. Its initial order of 80 fully configured POS systems is secure at the Chicago warehouse and ready for shipment.
Now, the client can easily request any number of POS systems to be quickly shipped to its headquarters or directly to customers.
The COI program has optimized the client’s supply chain and shortened delivery time from up to two weeks to one day. This has resulted in happy customers who consistently receive their shipments on time.
Extremely satisfied with the results and the trust it’s gained in Insight, the client has already placed several follow-up orders.
