Insight Recognized by Business Journal for Best HR Practices

26 May 2015 by Jeff Hecht

On April 14, Insight’s Vice President of Human Resources Jen Fernandez was awarded by the Phoenix Business Journal for displaying Best HR Practices. This award is specifically tied to her work establishing Insight’s In It Together Foundation, which disburses employee-donated funds to teammates experiencing a financial hardship or crisis.

“The goal of the event is to shine a spotlight on an impressive group of Valley companies and their HR leaders, who use their skills and smarts and their passion and drive for the good of their companies and their people,” said Ilana Lowery, editor of the Business Journal, in the article announcing the winners. “Those companies all had successful and creative ways to make their organizations a better place to work. Some of the winning companies were recognized for implementing healthy lifestyles programs — and sticking to them, developing ongoing employee surveys for feedback and ideas, and creating employee-assistance funds for team members experiencing a financial hardship.”

Insight’s In It Together Foundation underscores our commitment to our teammates. “We are truly pleased and honored to be called out, but we don’t do this for the recognition,” said Fernandez. “This is a fine example of teammates helping teammates. We’ve been talking a lot lately about Heart and Harmony, and the In It Together Foundation is a perfect example of how committed our teammates are to each other. This has been a wonderful program for our company.”
