Best design. Most innovative. Excellence in business. Every day companies are announcing new awards they have received or lists they have been placed on. A lot of these honors and recognitions can start to seem like white noise to the public or only matter to the people in a particular industry.

So why do these accolades matter? What does a business award mean to the public or the company receiving it?

Insight was recently named to The Channel Company’s CRN®Tech Elite 250 list for 2015. It matters because it adds to the definition of who we are as a company. It isn’t about being on the list — but the reasons behind why we made the list. It isn’t about the press release or the plaque — it is an internal and external reminder, that we are committed to helping businesses run smarter.

“The solution providers selected for our annual Tech Elite 250 have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and gained industry credibility by investing in the IT certifications necessary to deliver exceptional service to their customers and stay competitive,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company.

This list names Insight as an elite IT solutions provider, dedicated to training and education. These certifications are not a checkpoint — they underscore that as a company we understand that technology is always changing, upgrading, evolving — and that we are committed to investing in that change.

“We are happy to be acknowledged as an elite IT solutions provider and for our commitment to excellence through strengthening our partnerships,” said Ken Lamneck, Insight President and CEO. “As a company we want to provide our teammates with the opportunities to advance their skillsets, take advantage of the expertise our partners have to offer and continue to be an example of a trusted service provider.”

Coverage of the Tech Elite 250 will be featured in the April issue of CRN, and online at www.CRN.com
